The U.S. Department of Justice says Full Tilt Poker operated as a "global Ponzi scheme" and accused its primary owners, including Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson, of defrauding the site's players out of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Should operators be required to keep player funds separate from operating funds?
One of the new allegations in the U.S. Department of Justice's amended civil complaint against Full Tilt Poker is that the online poker company mingled player and operating funds and paid out monies to the site owners without retaining sufficient funds to cover player balances. In our own investigations we've discovered that most online gaming regulators do not prohibit mingling operator and player funds. Should operators be allowed to mix player funds with their own or should they be required to hold those funds in separate accounts? View poll
