GPWA Times Magazine - Issue 1 - May 2007
L E T T E R F R O M T H E D I R E C T O R I am pleased to present this inaugural edition of GPWA Times magazine. In these rapidly changing times in the online gaming industry, it is vitally important that affiliates and affiliate programs work together, hand in hand, to help our industry and businesses thrive. This publication was developed as part of our ongoing efforts to grow the Gambling Portal Webmasters Association (GPWA), providing new programs for members and strengthening the industry relationships the organization promotes. Inside, we’ve profiled 16 of the best affiliate managers in the industry and asked them to talk about themselves, their programs and the keys to working with affiliates. Our hope is that after reading this series, affiliates will walk away knowing these managers — and their programs — a little better. And that this knowledge will help both affiliates and affiliate programs maximize their profits in the long run. Keeping up with industry news and events is also critical to an affiliate’s bottom line. So in this edition, we also introduce you to Betfred founder Fred Done, share tips on how to become a super affiliate, discuss the importance of forums, profile one affiliate’s online success, and take a closer look at the news affecting the industry. We hope you find this information helpful, and invite you to stop by GPWA.org to check out our community and sign up for the weekly electronic edition of GPWA Times. Sincerely, Michael A.
