Todd, APCW Administrator I n the spring of 2006, the Association of Players, Casinos, and Webmasters brought the online gaming industry a bold and dynamic new print publication: APCW Perspectives. And while that magazine has now grown into a quarterly publication with a circulation in the tens of thousands, it is still not the “Perspectives” most people have come to recognize from us. That honor goes to our webcast, Perspectives Weekly, which is released every Friday morning on our site, the GPWA, YouTube, and many other Web sites. Perspectives Weekly emerged in the aftermath of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. When the legislation was passed late last year, everything in our world changed overnight. It seemed that day-by- day, there was more news than anyone could keep up with concerning legislation, arrests, closures and mergers, the European Union and the World Trade Organization. But in the midst of all this information — there was a void of dynamic content to educate those who were trying so desperately to keep up the important information. Our educational videos had received such widespread support, that developing a weekly webcast just seemed like a natural next step. As fate would have it, Perspectives Weekly and APCW Perspectives Magazine together have become a driving educational and political force for online gaming. Perspectives Weekly is now viewed, on average, well over 20,000 times a month and the magazine is approaching a circulation of 20,000 in Europe and North America. We continue to help educate both players and webmasters with the most relevant and timely industry related information... not to mention keeping the masses motivated. It takes courage, conviction and nerve to so boldly expose the American government for their hypocrisies and lies. We encourage everyone to learn all they can about the political and financial issues threatening our livelihood, and to stand with APCW. Join the fight and take action!
