Ican’t thinkofany challenges, but there are some advantages: we speak Hungarian as a native language andRomanian as anofficial language. This makesoperating in twomarketseasier. What do you knownow about the indus- try that youwish you’d knownwhen you got started? Communicationwith affiliate managers is important. We didn’t realize this in thebeginningand just signedup for a bunch of programs.We also didn’t know muchabout rogueprogramsandbookmak- ersandpredatoryaffiliate terms. If you had to pick five keys to success as anaffiliate,whatwould theybeandwhy? Good content. I know everybody says this but it’s true. You need it for your visitors and forSEO. You need patience, especially in the begin- ning. Design: A site looks more professional with good design but don’t forget about readability. Don’tpromoteprogramsthatdon’tgenerate anyrevenueafter6-8months; it’sawasteof advertisingspace. Be fully informed about everything that’s goingon in this industry even if it’snot rel- evant toyourmarket.
