Rebecca’s 10 favorite GPWA personalites 10 Cedrik Caron Affiliate Manager, Hot Pepper Affiliates Cedrik definitely thinks that I love everyone. When talking to Cedrik, I apparently drop the “L bomb” every time someone’s name is mentioned: “Hey Rebecca, I drove around with Shawn today in his yellow Lamborghini.” “You did!? I love Shawn!!” You see? I just can’t help it. Lucky for me, Cedrik calls this little habit of mine contagious, so at this point, everyone should love everyone. I especially love Cedrik because he is permanently smiling, always laughing, and he takes me for outrageously expensive sushi dinners. If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Karim, then you are really missing out on one of the biggest hearts in the industry. I was introduced to this unique and wonderful individual while attending an affiliate appreciation trip at the Atlantis resort with the Chipleader Team. Everyone in the group agreed that his presence was a huge highlight of the trip, especially when he busted out his Studio 54 British moves on the dance floor. 8 Jeff Korman Affiliate Director, Casino Blasters Jeff and the Casino Blasters team have taken me to restaurants with abnormally beautiful waitresses, 24 hour bagel stores, authentic Shabbat Dinners, crazy nights out with Dennis Rodman, trips toVegas andAruba… you name it, they have done it. Aside from all the affiliate program treats, Jeff is a pleasure to work with, he has become a great friend for life, and no one in this world will give you a better tour of Montreal. Jeff might be a man of few words, but for all those beautiful Jewish ladies out there, he does speak fluent Hebrew. 7 Chris Taylor Affiliate Manager, Affiliate Club Chris has just recently landed with Gaming VC under the direction of John Ryott, one of the industry’s finest AND best dressed. Don’t be fooled though…Chris has informed me that he “ain’t wearing no suit to the conferences”, but he did promise to treat me to breakfast so we can talk business over cereals. Yes, that would be with an “s”. Spanish slang aside, Chris will make affiliates laugh about 100 times a day while striking up solid business deals- that I can guarantee. Even if he does refuse to wear a suit. 6 Carlo Director of Affiliate Operations, GA Partners Carlo is in da house, yo! This U.K.- blooded tosser has been in the online gaming industry for eight entire years, which might be a record as far as this Top- 10 list goes. Ok, it’s true. Call it a problem, call it a disease, call it what you want, but god help your soul if I dislike you. All jokes aside, it is easy to love a lot of people when involved in an industry full of such dynamic, fun, and passionate personalities. In an effort to recognize some of my very favorite people in the industry, I have put together a top 10 list of individuals I love and are somehow involved with the GPWA. Please note: the list below is not a Jenny Woo “To Do” list, it is a list of people I love. We like to keep things G-rated here at the GPWA, don’t forget.
