How “social” do I need to be? FROM THE GPWA FORUMS Affiliate marketing is constantly changing. A few years ago social media was all the rage, and everyone spent weeks and months cultivating a following on Facebook and Twitter. Social media is still a key aspect to many affiliates’ marketing approaches, but it’s also constantly changing. GPWA member UltimatePokerBonus came to the forums to ask other affiliates how frequently he should utilize his social media outlets and received some great feedback from affiliates and other experts in the industry. #1 UltimatePokerBonus (Private Member) I know for social media to become relevant you have to be pretty aggressive with posting to the sites and stay active. At some point though, it has to become almost like spamming the pages, I would think. How often does everyone post to Facebook, Twitter and Google+? Once a day, every other day, multiple times a day? I have been making sure I post at least once a week and try to do it at least twice a week. Wouldn’t that look a little suspicious having the same post on 30+ sites? I do see Facebook and Twitter allow you to sync up, which I haven’t tried yet.
