may have downgraded them in the past year, trust me when I tell you they have proven nevertheless to be good earners for a lot of bigger affiliates to thisday. How did you become involved in the in- dustry? We know you quit your job at JPMorganChase in2005 topursuepoker as your full-time profession. What per- centage of your current income derives fromplayingpoker andhowmuchcomes from your work as a webmaster? I don’t playpokerasmuchas Iused tobackwhen Iwas first buildingwebsites andworking at JPMorgan; however, I do bet sports a lot and it has probablymade up 10 to 15 percent ofmy income in the last fewyears alone. I’ve been fortunate tobe awinning bettor and I doput in the hours research- ing games and know a lot of really solid picks guys who have helpedme out im- mensely (andwhoalsowrite formysites). The other portion of my income comes mainly from affiliating andmy rev-share accounts. I rarelydoCPA because there’s just no value long term for me. The days of $400/$500 CPAs are pretty nonexis- tent now unless you’re a super affiliate, so it doesn’t make toomuch sense to not go with revenue share (remember that, noobs). I do some short-termmedia buys on some sites that Iuse to injectother sites with content and links, but for the most part a lot of my income derives just from being an affiliate. Areyouaone-personshoporareyoupart of a larger organization? I have been a one-manoperationever since Igot intoaf- filiating. I’veworkedwith the samegroup of writers, programmers and translators for over three years now. I’m extremely OCDandhavebeenaperfectionist allmy life so it’s been a blessing to work with somany cool peoplewho are just likeme and can take some constructive criticism every now and again when I feel some- thing is “off.” Describe your work environment. Do you work from home or in an office? I have a pretty sweet office setup complete with dual 30”monitors, a couch, 55”flat screen and an XBOX One. As you could imag- ine, my concentration suffers immensely when it comes towork and taking care of my infant son! Since I work from home I make itmypersonalmission toget out of the house for a couple hours a day, even if that means just going to Starbucks to work in a different environment or going to the gym toplay some pickup ball for a fewhours.
