#19 DanHorvat (PrivateMember) I'd like to ask something about Twitter. I had a brilliant tweet with a trendy hashtagbut it went largely unnoticed, until one ofmy followers retweeted it tohis 18,000members. So although the hashtagwas the thing to target at thatmoment, and it was a very specific one, nothinghappened. I'd say you can't really rankwell with a hashtag just because youmade a tweet. Twittermust be clearingup the garbage in someway, andmy tweet went unnoticed because I have only 18 followers. I guess. Or becausemy account is new. If someone can explain this situation, I'd appreciate it. “ ReplyWithQuote #21 gamblingseo (Public Member) Originally Postedby DanHorvat I'd like to ask something about Twitter. People need to click "all" and scroll to see your tweet until it gains traction and goes into "most popular" territory. “ ReplyWithQuote #24 DanHorvat (PrivateMember) Solutions. I need solutions. The visitor count is way too low after twoweeks, maximumwas 150 and the average is around 50. Creative ideas, anyone? “ ReplyWithQuote #25 excel.ashutosh (Sponsor Affiliate Program) In a highly competitive industry like ours it’s very important to carry a unique selling point with you. If I consider myself a visitor, I will always visit a sitewhichwill add value tomy knowledge base. “ ReplyWithQuote #12 TheGooner (PrivateMember) “ ReplyWithQuote Originally Postedby gamblingseo Hmm.This assumes that you have targeted followers, no? With Twitter you don't need followers to get reaction as long as you are targeting an active hashtag and have a catchy angle. That's why I mentioned that it's a specific timely article to hook into that scene, rather than normal affiliate fare. What you are aiming for is to get the clicks that turn into Twitter followers and also generate clicks to the article— and that they'll appreciate the rest of the site, too. If it's good enough then you'll get retweets whichwill hit those people's followers, too. Is it passive?Well, certainly compared to your "100 social spam" approach (kidding!), but if you canget a good angle then a genuine series of retweets doeswonders for exposure. We promote on both Facebook and Twitter — and have seen a quicker growth rate and clickthrough rate on Twitter— but Facebook is certainly a viable social target. 21
