You live in Trinidad now, correct? How long have you lived there? And what brought you there? What should people who don't live there know about your country? I do live in Trinidad now. As life goes, my dad could never get the time to take a family vacation, so when I gradu- ated I decided to take a trip for myself to see what my homeland was all about. This proved to be the greatest decision I’ve ever made. I spent a month visiting all over the island and experiencing the culture I had missed. During this time I made some friends who were in the in- dustry and soon enough they were telling me I have the character/qualifications for this. I was offered a job as a risk manage- ment officer, which I had little knowledge about, but picked up on very quickly. So I decided to stay in Trinidad and see where it took me. It’s been almost 14 years now and I don’t think I can give up this tropi- cal lifestyle. Think about it: The beach is never more than 30 minutes away, tropical weather means it’s never cold enough to have to wear a jacket, beautiful island people (with tropical bodies!) and a fantastic va- riety of music and food that can satisfy any craving. If someone from out of town were to vis- it you, where is the one place you would have to take them? The Avenue. Short explanation: It’s our Las Vegas Strip — it doesn’t sleep, and has the best clubs, res- taurants and entertainment in T&T. How do you ensure that payments are sent out on time? And when do your pay- ments go out? I always make payments a priority at the beginning of every month. On the first, stats are pulled and verified. Then payment requests are made and processed, usually allowing affiliates to collect commissions by the end of the first week of the month. Where do you think the industry will be in five years? Hey, with the pace at which this new age moves and new technologies arise, I’m pretty sure there is no accurate prediction I could give. However, I would like to see the online gaming industry get standardized throughout the world and gamblers from all over get the chance to entertain themselves without limitation. I see games becoming virtual, enabling us- ers to be fully immersed in their environ- ment, allowing for the most realistic expe- rience possible — hopefully with Jackpot Jungle and Ocean’s Reef Casino leading the way. What is the last book you read? Did you enjoy it? And did you read it on an e- reader? Or do you need to have a copy of the physical book in your hand? Marvel Avengers: The Ultimate Character Guide , by Alan Cowsill; I have the hardcover (heavy) book, which I bought for my son, and now I have to read five pages for him every night before bed. I LOVE IT! What's your favorite movie? Tropic Thunder , starring Robert Downey Jr. What do you use for most of your web surfing: desktop computer, laptop, tab- let or smartphone? Laptop and smart- phone, but I’m not sure which one wins. I think it’s a close tie. If we picked up your iPhone and pressed play, what song would be playing? Timaya, featuring Sean Paul – “Shake Your Bum Bum.” If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go? My family and I love landscapes/quiet towns and I would love to visit Ireland, The Netherlands, Switzerland or anywhere surrounding to see some of these places in person. If you could have dinner with three peo- ple, living or dead, who would they be? 1. Bruce Lee 2. Barry Sanders – former running back for the Detroit Lions 3. President Barack Obama Name three things that people reading this magazine don't know about you. I’m a techie at heart and love to play with new products. I like to spend my spare time outside and get dirty; woodworking, yard work, etc. And I love my dogs — I don’t always get to spend enough time with them, but they are family. Too often affiliates struggle to collect their earnings after having done their part and delivered their traffic. . . . There is enough money to be made in this industry and definitely enough to go around; everyone can share in the profit.” 69 Affiliate Manager Interview Series
