Situated at the crossing of two important trade routes on the banks of the rivers Spree and Havel, Berlin has been a city of business and commerce for centuries. Today, it is recognized as a world leader in culture, politics, media and science, with an economy based on high-tech firms, creative industries, media corporations and convention venues. What better place could there be, then, for an extended online gambling industry gathering? In late October 2015, operators, affiliate programs and affiliates met in Germany’s capital city for the Excellence in iGaming conference and the Berlin Affiliate Conference. As always, the GPWA was there with camera in hand to document the booths at the expos, the parties and, of course, the people who make online gambling one of the most interesting industries to work in. We also spent some time at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, which you’ll see on the last page of our photo gallery. Shahar Attias of Hybrid Interaction (right) shares a smile. A live band kept everyone entertained.
