GPWA AFFILIATE INTERVIEW SERIES have a serious and consistent mission, and now have some funding in terms of human time and in money. Even if the barriers to enter the market are still considered “low” compared to brick-and-mortar companies and operations, they are not as low as in 2008. Be innovative and never despair, work, work and work, while being realistic about your project. And don’t forget to take care of yourself! Tell us about your sites. Do you have more or fewer than you did last time we spoke? I still have the same number of websites despite having closed gambling-pro. com for a few months and redirecting to it impossible to produce valid, good work. Marketing to people was becoming harder and harder to do from a human perspective. The physical burden was taking me time, but the psychological burden was the hardest part as it was taking away my work qualities. But I gave the best of me even with the conditions. For me it was not acceptable to lose to death. I am coming back from very far; I’ve done everything to get back in shape physically and to psychologically connect back to my life. I’m actually busy reconnecting every dot to myself and to my personal and professional life. This has been a huge fight for the right to live. You mentioned that you are currently working on a “serious gaming website project.” Can you elaborate? I currently need a fresh new start in this sector, as I want to seriously reassert my position and protect my interests for the years to come. I studied the current market for several weeks, and I have produced an important market study and tight specifications for my project as well as a consistent mission. The new web- site, which is a start-from-scratch successor to SortOnlineCasinos.com, will introduce some innovative features for users while aiming for a strong branding – I have always tried to favor branding since I started doing online marketing. And as I said to Doug Peck from Trafficology magazine in June 2017, “providing more trust and branding efforts would be a key for small affiliates to carry on their businesses, be that for their players, but also with their customers (the iGaming brands).” I’ve paid particular attention to the design and will introduce something new and fresh, while still considering the current well-known codes of web design. However, some of the new features will be introduced later, in several steps, as the launch won’t contain everything – only the core of the website will be opened as fast as possible. What advice would you give to a new iGaming affiliate just getting started in the business? Things have changed since 2008. First, you need strong market research, to find niches where competition is acceptable and to identify your competitors’ strong key points and weaknesses, to find what you can do better or where to fill the void. New affiliates also need to study which geographical markets they want to operate in, sortonlinecasinos.com. It has proved to be an error. I wanted to take the path of one full site while focusing on the new project, but there is still room for more targeted niches – well, let’s say near-SEO sites. In the past we could cater to specific SEO niches, but now the niches are larger and there is more competition, they are full market niches, and users are still expecting a lot, so it is no longer a battle of keywords and SERPs positions only. Google has made it clear: They want quality sites with strong branding, interesting features and, more importantly, that serve the users well. I think it’s better to have one very good Things have changed since 2008.
