FROM THE FORUMS #12 Juan Roman 13 November 2019, 8:33 a.m. Private Member I’ve worked long hours in the beginning, at times more than 12 hours per day and almost always worked on weekends, even after par- tying the night before. I don’t think you can build a profitable business if you don’t work really hard in the first few years. I was single at the time, didn’t have too many other distractions, so I was happy to work long hours. After building a successful business, I am now working around 40 hours per week, making sure the company remains profitable and that my employees are happy. I do work on weekends at times, but not nearly as much as before. Now, I try constantly to be as effective as possible, find better ways to manage everything, without com- promising my free time and family time. As many of you have said, it’s all about find- ing the perfect balance. All the money in the world won’t matter if you suffer from burnout, anxiety and constant stress trying to make more and more money. Not to mention the strain all these things will have on your family life and relationships with people close to you. Just my two cents. “ Reply With Quote #10 RacingJim 4 November 2019, 3:33 pm Public Member Joking aside, I burnt out massively. I did long hours working and also combined that with partying pretty hard for the first couple of years. I do about 8 hours a week now and am gen- erally tired and knackered most days. As a new affiliate though, I did 60-70 hour weeks and thought nothing of it. The setting up is the big thing and when your workload is highest. Upon getting successful I fell into loads of traps: • Obsessively checking revenue stats at casinos/bookies • Obsessively checking Google positions for certain keywords • Obsessively checking Google Analytics stats I’d recommend to avoid the above three traps. Set a timetable for your week and stick to it. Figure out if a job is making you any more money by doing it. Is checking your stats daily really necessary? I say no, so don’t do it. Only do work that is gaining you something, you need to work to maximum efficiency and build in lots of time out. Do meditation and other relaxation tech- niques, as well. Relax in your free time as much as possible. “ Reply With Quote #11 Aiden90 13 November 2019, 6:57 a.m. Private Member As many others have said, work smart, not hard. Don’t stay up till 3 a.m. doing busy work just for the sake of it. If it’s not going to make you money, don’t waste your time! “ Reply With Quote All the money in the world won’t matter if you suffer from burnout , anxiety and constant stress trying to make more and more money .
