Has COVID-19 influenced how much time you spend working? Comments from GPWA members: GPWA MEMBER POLL The coronavirus pandemic disrupted life as we knew it for nearly everyone in the world, both personally and professionally. Fortunately, as affiliates, most of us are lucky in that it is generally easy for us to work from home. Most of us decide how much time we want to spend working, and can adjust that time to be more or less depending on what else is going on in our lives and how motivated we are to work on our affiliate business. During the first few weeks of the pandemic and the lock- down it resulted in across the globe, we asked our GPWA members how their workload was affected. While 21.05% saw no change, 31.58% said that there were “spending a lot more time working.” We were happy to see that only 13.16% reported they were “spending a lot less time working.” Below you’ll find a sampling of some of the comments made by our members in reaction to this question. I’m still working almost the same amount of hours as usual. This coronavirus pandemic is still worrying me and draining my energy though and that is also affecting my work hours to an extent. TheGooner PRIVATE MEMBER A little less time working these days - as there is less sport to cover. Instead I’m diverting the time into site changes, tweaks and upgrades - but these are less time critical so I’m working less hours. Pokerface PUBLIC MEMBER Definitely working more now. There are less distractions and with less to do it’s a great time to use the extra time on things that had been getting lower on the priority list. 21 % I am spending about the same amount of time working. 32 % I am spending a lot more time working now.
