I’ve tried to do that here. What has your research process revealed that casino marketing copy hides? Withdrawal times are the most consistent gap. “24-hour withdrawals” in marketing language usually means 24 hours after KYC verification is complete — and KYC can take another 72 hours. The real experience is often three or four days, not one. That’s a meaningful difference when a player is trying to decide where to deposit. The second is negative carryover in revshare deals — relevant to affiliates more than players, but it shapes which brands get genuinely promoted versus which ones get pushed because the affiliate owes a bad month to the operator. Red flags that make me walk away from a brand: licensing information that can’t be independently verified, wagering requirements above 40x, withdrawal limits under $500 per transaction. Those aren’t things that improve with a better bonus offer. What did you believe about affiliate marketing when you launched that you’ve changed your mind about? I thought domain age was the main thing holding new sites back — that you’d spend the first year invisible no matter what. That turned out to be only partially true. Domain age matters, but content depth, topical focus, and internal linking structure matter more than people say. We ranked for brand keywords within weeks and for geo keywords within months. The real gatekeeping is quality, not time. What I underestimated was how much relationship work accelerates everything. Good content ranks, but slowly, without external signals pointing to it. The partnerships, the certifications, the industry connections — those are what compress the timeline. I knew that intellectually. I didn’t fully understand it until I saw it working. What would you tell someone who wants to quit their job and start a solo iGaming affiliate site in 2026? Pick one market and one format and do them better than anyone else. The common mistake is launching with 50 thin geo pages and wondering why nothing ranks. Google sees thin content as thin. Twenty excellent pages will outperform 200 average ones. Get certified early. GPWA certification took time and required real compliance work, but it opened partnership conversations that wouldn’t have happened otherwise. Credibility in this industry has to be earned — it’s not assumed just because you have a website. And be honest about what you don’t know. The space rewards genuine expertise and it punishes the performance of expertise you don’t have. Players, operators, and Google have all gotten better at telling the difference. Do you gamble? Occasionally, yes. Mostly online, mostly for fun. My providers are Hacksaw Gaming and Nolimit City, which I think says something about my relationship with variance. Both of them design games rather than just configure mathematics — there’s actual craft in how the mechanics work. I don’t play with amounts that would affect my day. Dark Stories exists partly because I understand that the line I keep isn’t the same line for everyone. What do you do when you’re not working? Video games. PS5, PC, headphones on, world off. People my age are apparently supposed to have outgrown this. I haven’t, and I’m not planning to. A person is as old as they feel, and three hours into something with a good story and a good soundtrack, I feel about 19. It’s the most effective mental reset I’ve found. Whatever the work day was, an hour of that and it’s gone. If someone who has never visited Budapest has 24 hours with you, where would you take them? Parliament first, at dawn, before the buses arrive. The building on the Danube at that hour is genuinely one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen, and I grew up looking at it.
