Something else to consider (which you guys dowell, actually) is the timing of the e-mail. If you have an offer for a game that starts at 8 p.m., don't send it over at 5 p.m. the same day. Likewise if you have a longer-running promo that starts onMonday, don't tell us about it on Monday afternoon. I think 48+ hours is ideal, but 24 hours notice is fine for most things. Anything less than that and it's a bit of a crap shoot as towhether or not it gets covered. “ ReplyWithQuote #13 webanalysissolutions (PrivateMember) Better to get me directly on Skype or phone if youwant an offer put up on the sites. Far too oftenwe receive e-mail about some great offer that expires at 3 p.m. on a Saturday andwe don't get the e-mail through until 11 a.m. on that Saturday. “ ReplyWithQuote #6 Voids (PrivateMember) As I am currently working on a new sitewhere this information is vital I have been considering it from the side of the affiliate. Personally I would like something simple, sent directly tomy e-mail. We have a limited-time offer for casino this weekend. It runs from x until x, the bonus is x. Here are your links, and here are themain key T&Cs. I want to be able to read the e-mail onmy phone quickly and easily to decidewhether I want to act/promote the offer. I would also like to only be sent e-mail that is relevant to me; I don't want to know about any poker offers; we are purely a football-based site. “ ReplyWithQuote #14 DanHorvat (PrivateMember) E-mail newsletters, but only if you knowmy name and sometimes send personal e-mail. Otherwise it's just an ad and I don't care. “ ReplyWithQuote #16 Doolally (PrivateMember) Just write your latest promotions, etc., on the back of a £50 note and post it tome. “ ReplyWithQuote #21 pariurisportive (PrivateMember) Hi Dean and thanks for the question – it is really great to see that affiliatemanagers are looking for affiliates’ opinions. Let me share a few of my thoughts: - E-mail is amust, but try to build on top of that with personal e-mail (at least for your top affiliates) andwith special offers. Youmay also see howmany people read the newsletter andwhat is interesting for them to better adapt the newsletter. - Always ask for feedback, nomatter what format/resource you send the information. - Send themessage at least two days before the offer will go live, as some of us need to translate this into our own language or to present it in a friendly way, not just to copy & pastewhat you've been sending us. - Always announce in advance on issues you are planning and give the “right” information. - Always have a version of your newsletter on your website – don't post a promotion just on Facebook or other networks. Hope that helps! “ ReplyWithQuote FROMTHEGPWAFORUMS From theGPWAForums
