GPWA Times Magazine - Issue 31 - February 2015
What do you like about the industry? I like that after about three to five years of learning, it is possible to make a constant profit from betting that is similar to the national average salary. If you could change one thing about the industry, what would it be? I would change the Polish law so that bookmak- ers could operate as they do for example in the U.K. The current situation is very bad for Polish sports because bookmak- ers are basically not allowed to sponsor them and the betting industry is a part of the gray market. What do your family and friends think of your work as an affiliate? Many of them do not know what I do, and I do not tell them more than I have to. Most people have difficulties in understanding how it is possible to make a profit from betting. How long do you give yourself for an- swering e-mail? What e-mail tips can you offer? I do my best to answer as soon as possible, but in some cases it takes time to figure out a reasonable response if someone has problems with a withdraw- al or is accused of bonus abuse and asks for help. I do not use prepared, standard forms because an individual approach is what I consider to be the most important. How do you manage your “to-do” lists? Do you use any special soft- ware to help you out? I have a binder to keep all my ideas written down on loose papers together. I also use a sepa- rate folder for all the necessary files on my PC. Nothing special. How much time do you devote to SEO and/or social networking in order to drive more traffic to your sites? SEO is in my opinion something that can be done by outsourcing. Finding a reliable company is a very time-consuming pro- cess, but once it is done, it saves a lot of work. Supervising, reading reports, mak- ing conclusions, etc., takes usually a few hours a week. Social networking means another two hours a week. What’s themost difficult thing about run- ning your site? The most difficult thing is deciding what to do next. There are many opportunities to develop my website, but I don’t have enough time to do everything I would like to, which makes me focus on the priorities. What’s the best thing about running your site? The best thing is that I am free and that I do what I want, not what I have been told to do. What do you do to stay in shape – both physically and mentally? I play football and chess. Sell us your city: What's the best part of living in Cracow? Cracow is a place I have known since I was born. Most of the mon- uments do not impress me, so I would say that the nightlife in Market Square is the best part of living here. If someone were visiting you, what’s the one place you’d definitely take them to see? I would take them to the Wawel Royal Castle, which is situated on the banks of the Vistula River. Thanks to the spectacular view, it is a wonderful place for a long walk and also presents an ideal occasion to hear one of the stories about the Wawel Dragon, which enjoyed eating young maidens. When you need to get as far away from work as possible, where do you go? The only time I don’t think about my website is when I’m playing football. The rest of the time, whatever I do, I keep wondering what more I can do. You list math, chess and the guitar as in- terests on your GPWA profile page. How does music fit into your life as a math- ematician and games player? I love rock and rock metal music. It makes me relax and gives me positive energy. I started playing guitar to impress girls when I was a teenager. What’s your favorite vacation spot? Rhodes, Greece. It's the place where I had the best holidays in my whole life. What’s your all-time favorite movie? I can’t answer this question: Some bookies set up this question as a pass- word reminder! If you could invite any five people, liv- ing or dead, to dinner, who would they be? Assuming that there would be no lan- guage problems, I would invite only Jesus Christ, because I would like to ask him what to do to be saved by God. Any food left over I would eat with my wife. What are three things that nobody knows about you? I’m sure I don’t know, either. My wife says that she is never sure what I am going to do next, and I think that nobody knows it.
