I deleted 600 pages myself after the last quality update and bounced back; anything under 300 words was deleted. Sometimes we want to think our content is good enough, but as a third party I view those pages differently from you. I would not be satisfied and I’d click back looking for something more detailed. And there are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of those pages? This would affect your whole site for sure. Is there a way you could combine all the picks onto one page by date?  “ Reply With Quote #6 xecutable Private Member That mobile comment is totally inaccurate. Mobile friendliness in no way affects your desktop searches. However, when it comes to user experience, I’d say mobile is a must. I’ve experienced what you are experiencing four times already, and I’m going through it for the fifth time now. There’s no shame in losing organic traffic as long as you can pinpoint the reasons. No need to be harsh on yourself, either. I’ve had positions drop, stay low for months and reappear on their own for no apparent reason. However, I do believe if I had taken actions back then, it would have perhaps happened faster. I’d get rid of anything under 300-400 words. I think when quality updates kicked in, I deleted well over 800 posts. There was a lot of feedback on this – that it was bad – but I did it anyway. For me, the problem has always been marketing and link building, simply because I’ve rarely done it, if at all. I’ve always pumped up content, even when I had 10 organic searches. It made no difference to me, at least. As I said, I’m in a similar situation, and I’ll just proceed as I always have. This time, however, I do plan to do some marketing and some content polishing. I’m already rebranding, and perhaps I’ll add some link building here and there. As for the disavow tool, I’ve tried it and to be honest, I think it hurt me. Of course, I’m just guessing. Considering that Google mentioned that something like 0.5% of webmasters would need to use it, I think playing with it may not be such a good idea. I’ve removed my file recently. Other than that, I don’t know what to tell you. It’s part of the ups and downs of the business. I’ve had Google index wrong landing pages at some point. I did nothing and it just fixed itself. Some things are beyond your control. P.S.: I like such problems because they give me a challenge to overcome, which makes it fun afterwards. Otherwise, things would get extremely boring around here. “ Reply With Quote #8 mla0712 Public Member Originally Posted by wonderpunter You have hundreds of pages of “picks” that have between 50 and 100 words...
