Yeah, I see the point and think it would be worth a thought after all. The problem with combining would be that you want to be able to have unique titles, etc., for ranking for specific searches for a specific match. But I’ll give it a thought... But still, if that’s the case there must be a lot of Web shops out there with the same problem, and that doesn’t make sense to me. “ Reply With Quote #14 mla0712 Public Member Originally Posted by WagerPod Check (Google Webmaster Tools) to see if there are any drops in rankings – if it’s sports betting, could your biggest event have stopped? What does analytics say is the biggest drop? I have content – decent informative articles – that used to get a lot of organic traffic and suddenly get almost none. And there’s several cases where this has happened. “ Reply With Quote #15 WagerPod Private Member Are they themed keywords, such as football? Do you have Google Webmaster Tools (WMT)? Try Google Trends on your dropped keywords to see if they have dropped. If it’s rankings then it’s an SEO issue, and if it’s a traffic drop while maintaining rankings it’s a seasonal issue. If it’s just organic and not referrals/directs then it could be either. Analytics and WMT hold all the answers. “ Reply With Quote #12 WagerPod Private Member Check (Google Webmaster Tools) to see if there are any drops in rankings – if it’s sports betting, could your biggest event have stopped? There’s no chance this site was hit with a thin content penalty. Plus, you get a warning when that happens. “ Reply With Quote #16 wonderpunter Private Member Originally Posted by DanHorvat That’s nonsense. I disagree... I think thousands of keyword-rich title pages with 50-100 words sooner or later fall into the quality algorithm. I ditched hundreds of pages and bounced back up; it could be a coincidence or it could be that, sooner or later, that content value looks like it is trying to game the system via titles and very little content. I never said it was a penalty, I think it’s just an algorithm problem that could be fixed quickly. I had stuff from two years ago that eventually caught up. Here is another thought: Have some parts of the site been hit harder than others, e.g., static pages or posts? “ Reply With Quote From the GPWA Forums
