Affiliate Manager Interview Series I enjoy having daily contact with our affiliates, and working hard with them to convert their players. Each affiliate has different requirements, and each one of them deserves individual attention. Describe the office culture at IGT. If we were a fly on the wall, what are some of the topics of conversation we’d hear about at the water cooler? IGT’s global presence is seen by the spread of national- ities that work in it. In the Gibraltar office alone we count 15 nationalities. Your fly might struggle to keep up! Have you attended any affiliate confer- ences? Why or why not? If so, which ones are your favorite and why? IGT will attend all the major affiliate conferences, as well as Sigma. My favorite is London, which I have attended for four years in a row as this is our key market. We will be a constant presence at this show. What do you wish you could change about the industry? This would have to be the elimination of all bad actors out there across players, affiliates and opera- tors, as these tarnish the industry name. Where do you think the industry will be in five years? I expect further regulation, resulting in some operators to focus on a few core markets. I also predict that the acquisition trend in the affiliate market with extend to the DFS and eSport sectors. If someone fromout of town were to visit you, where is the one place you would have to take them? Since I moved recent- ly in Gibraltar, I would say Costa del Sol, where beaches and parties never stop. There are many great places on the drive Malaga, crossing Gibraltar and the famous rock and ending inTarifawith its amazing ocean view. What is the last book you read? Did you read it on an e-reader, or do you need to have a copy of the physical book in your hand? I read both hard and soft copies, the usual topics are digital marketing (so- cial marketing, affiliate marketing, content and SEO). The last book I read is Affiliate Marketing , and it was written by amarketer well-known in Italy. It’s always interesting to read the opinions of trustful influencers about topics with which I work every day. What’s your favorite movie? Independence Day and Pirates of the Caribbean . What do you use for most of your web surfing: A desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone? Laptop and smartphone. iPhone or Android? And if we took out your earbuds, what would we find you listening to? Both iPhone (work) andAn- droid (private), and I think on both you would hear Guns N’ Roses.
