The most important quality of a good affiliate manager to me is facing up to issues and acknowledging if there is a problem . Never run and hide. If it is your fault, fix it. #9 rob9brown 14 June 2017, 1:28 a.m. Great stuff, Connie B and to all who included their input. As an Account Manager I have learned a few new points. I appreciate it! “ Reply With Quote Non-sponsor Affiliate Program #8 Triple7 12 June 2017, 8:38 a.m. Public Member You didn’t ask me, but pushy affiliate managers are bothering to me too, so here is my explanation and answers to your questions above. To me, “pushy” means affiliate managers trying to get more exposure while there is absolutely no reason to do so. The biggest bother is non-converting programs or programs with almost zero retention that are asking all the time for better positions or even stating that they need better positions to show a better conversion and retention. 1. It depends. Some newsletters I always read, because I know the brand usually has interesting or useful things to say. Other newsletters are scanned, and newsletters of some brands are deleted because I know they have absolutely nothing interesting to say. Interesting things, I can’t receive them enough. Daily wouldn’t even bother me. If it’s not interesting, even once a year is too much. 2. That also depends. Of course, it’s good to know with whom you’re talking, but I don’t see the sense of having telephone calls or meetings with people I will not work with. I would not settle for a lower commission if I trust someone. Trust should be the base. If I don’t trust someone, I simply do not work with them, if possible. “ Reply With Quote W W W .
