You’re also involved with Revenue Optimization, the StatsDrone podcast, which has published over 130 episodes and passed 100,000 downloads. What’s your role there, and what’s the most valuable thing you’ve taken from those conversations into your own sites? I first came into contact with StatsDrone as a customer after having a poor experience with another tool. From there, we developed several partnerships and began collaborating in different ways. I do not have a fixed role, but my involvement with the team is generally connected to content creation, particularly content and social strategy, and more recently using AI for some automations. The most valuable lesson I have taken from working with them is the importance of experimentation and execution. I tend to overthink, and by the time I am considering the second or third worst-case scenario, someone on the StatsDrone team has often already opened a laptop, built a first version, and said, “Let’s give it a go.” That is based on a real experience, and it has encouraged me to become more comfortable with testing ideas even if I don’t feel I am absolutely prepared. The podcast leans heavily into GEO — generative engine optimization — and the idea that affiliate traffic is less predictable than it used to be. From where you sit, how much of your future traffic comes from Google, and how much from AI answers, newsletters, and communities? I think Google will remain an important source of discovery, but I do not expect it to be as dominant or predictable as it once was. AI answers will absorb a growing share of informational traffic, which makes it even more important to reduce our dependence on Google and avoid relying on any single channel. I expect search to continue bringing people in, while owned channels help us retain them, better understand their needs, and build a more valuable longterm audience. justin case a role. This is not my first website, but I have always worked in the no-deposit bonus niche. At first it seemed like a no-brainer: who would not be interested in receiving a bonus without making a deposit? Reality proved me wrong, or at least that the business is more complex than I imagined. The audience is highly interested, but turning that initial interest into profit consistently is difficult and sometimes unpredictable. It is a Catch-22: you get more signed-up players with no-deposit offers, but that usually results in fewer depositing players. You still get players coming through, but the volume is different. By the time I fully understood the challenges, the site was already gaining traction and generating business beyond the revenue directly attributable to conversions. I then decided to continue developing it rather than abandon the progress I had already made. Today, my position is pragmatic: I will remain in the niche for as long as the numbers show that it continues to make business sense. Casino Bonus Newsletter takes a different approach — instead of chasing search traffic, it builds an audience through email, SMS, Telegram, and WhatsApp, with offers personalized by game preference, country, and even spend per session. What convinced you to invest in owned channels, and how does newsletter traffic compare to SEO traffic in terms of quality? What convinced me was the risk that an audience built through a website or social media can disappear almost overnight when the platform’s rules change. When sites I have worked on have lost SEO traffic, the newsletter has allowed us to continue communicating with players without relying entirely on Google. Owned and direct channels are not riskfree, but they leave you less exposed to a single algorithm update and allow you to create a more direct and personalized experience for the subscribers. It’s not easy these days to get people to sign up for and stay on a newsletter list, but this audience converts better and is an excellent complement to organic traffic.
