What prompted you to join the online gambling industry? What were you doing before you be- came an online gambling affili- ate? I have always been looking for opportunities and always made decent money, but five years ago I sold up in England and moved to Holland to be withmy nowwife. I started from scratch and got a business go- ing in theDutchflower auctions, selling flowers wholesale to U.K. florists. While I was doing this I started looking at ways to make money online, as getting up at 5 a.m.didn’tsuitme.Onedaywhile looking at some forums I found an affiliate network site which had some bingo sites listed; £30 CPA for one player sounded to good to be true, so I knocked up aWeb siteand the rest ishistory, as they say. “Unluckyforsome” is an unusual nameforagamblingsite.Howdid you come upwith it? Andwhy is everything so pink? When I first startedasanaffiliate Iknewnoth- ing about SEO or keyword do- mainnames. I thought itwouldbe funny to call the site after abingo number. I tried every number available until I got to 13, and Unlucky for Some it was. As most bingo players seem tobe female, pink seems tobe the in color for bingo sites – and it was the only decent-looking pink template I could find aswell. What prompted you to join the GPWA? How has it helped you? Obviously when I first started I knew nothing about any- thing. It’s in forums that I learned every- thing, fromWeb site design to SEO. The GPWA has been a great source of infor- mation for me. I may only be a lurker mostof the time, but it’s these typesof fo- rumsandblogs thathavehelpedme teach myself all the skills needed tobe success- ful in this game.
