GPWA Times Magazine - Issue 40- February 2018
ventional, but made to give the affiliate the right motivation they need to promote our brands. What do you like about the industry? I think the best thing about the industry is that you can meet many different characters, from the small casino operators and start-ups where the owner is up for almost anything, to the market leaders where funds are no longer an issue and things tend to be a bit more serious. To its credit, I think the industry has lived through a lot of changes in the last decade and has always re-established itself. This, I think, is a great attitude that everyone should adopt for themselves, whether in the gambling industry or not. Do you often network or attend affiliate events? Yes, I love these kinds of events. I attend several of them. You can usually find me at most affiliate conferences, including BAC, LAC and SiGMA. I even set up and host my own events in small circles. These events are the best opportunities to find and make new friends and contacts within the industry. Fair Play focuses on casino games and sports- books. Are there any plans to add other gaming verticals in the future, such as an online lottery or esports? We are not ruling out any verticals as there are a lot of exciting areas we could progress in, like esports. We are looking to add to our portfolio more verticals in the near future. But for now, we are only focusing on casino slots. We are also planning to join other markets within Europe shortly. How does Fair Play Partners work to retain players sent by affiliates? We work with reputable affiliates who drive solid traffic to us. We also work closely alongside our brands, which have excellent CRM teams who are kings at retention, compiling promotions and campaigns that keep all players happy and returning. Do you gamble? I used to attend gambling events back when I was living in Germany. Nowadays I am completely out of it; however, I do like to watch people playing. But for myself, I’m not a gambler anymore. Where do you think the industry will be in the next five years? As the industry is changing so quick- ly every year, it’s hard to say, but my personal opinion is that mobile usage will become even more popular. The industry will head in a geographical direction of Asia, India and Africa. The markets are growing fast and getting a lot of attention from the population, and as we saw in Latin America, it doesn’t take much to grow the market quickly.
