GPWA Times Magazine - Issue 46 - February 2020

What do you like most about working in the iGaming industry? The people for sure! I just love the atmosphere in this business, everyone is super friendly and kind. And, of course, a bit crazy (laughs). But that is what makes it so fun and interesting. Where are you from originally and where do you live today? I was born in the lovely city of Gothenburg on the “Best Coast” of Sweden. Oh sorry, West Coast, I meant, of course. After working abroad for many years in Malta, Budapest and Copenhagen, I am now living on an island not far from Go- thenburg, close to my family home and around 50 meters from the sea, which fits me perfectly. What makes 24K Casino Affiliates stand out from other affiliate programs? They got me onboard, isn´t that enough? (Laughs). Joking aside, I would have to say that we are offering a really transparent program with no hidden or shady admin fees. As I said, my former career in affiliation made me realize that many programs are charging huge admin fees for no reason. This isn’t told to the affiliates, which is a shame. I was very surprised how much I actually got in percentages after all fees were taken away frommany of the brands I worked with back then. We are actually not taking anything extra for ourselves. All fees are from our platform/software/payments and then we split with the affiliates. It was built by affiliates for affiliates to give the best deal, no off-the-top admin fees, no minimum quotas, and no toxic terms. It’s a simple, old school way of doing business. 24K Casino Affiliates offers 40% revenue share (50% for the first three months for GPWA affiliates), lifetime earnings with no activity quota, and no negative carry- over. Tell us about the thought process behind offering this model to affiliates? We didn’t want to pin anyone down with quotas, negative revenues, etc. A simple, pure and fair com- mission structure without complicated terms. Also, both small and big affiliates are welcome to join our program. How does 24K Casino Affiliates work to retain players sent by affiliates? We work hard every day to make our players happy and to earn their loyalty. We are offering them great daily bonuses. Our customer support team always does their best to help them. We have a great loyalty program where players are able to buy fantastic stuff, everything from iPhones to free spins, and more. Furthermore, we have great tournaments for our players, giving themmore chances to win and have a fun with us. Do you regularly attend any affiliate/industry events? If so, which ones and what is your advice to colleagues for getting the most out of attending these events? I have been attending conferences for many years, so I have been to SiGMA, AAC, BAC and NAC several times. My favorite one when it comes to business was Berlin (Affiliate Conference). I loved that one. But of course, my dear friends in Malta that started SIGMA — Dennis Dyhr-Hansen and Eman Pulis — made a super conference, which I have followed from the start! Big shout out to them for the game-changer conference they did when SIGMA was born. In 2020 I am planning to attend as many as I have in past years, but LAC, AAC and SiGMA are 100% in my schedule. My advice would be to book 50% of your meetings in advance and to leave the rest of your time for networking and see what comes along. My experience is that most of the business I make comes while networking at the events and actually not in formal meetings. But that might just be me as a person who loves to connect with people and find new friends/partners all over the place. Do you gamble yourself? Yes, I do gamble myself. I love to do some sports betting, especially on football, darts or horse racing, so I hope we will soon have our own sport betting brand. When it comes to land-based casinos, I do really enjoy spinning some wheels at the slots with some friends and good drinks. It’s super fun entertainment. Johan Syrén Usually when I tellmyaffiliates aboutmyexperience [as an affiliate], we get amuch closer relationship and better communication . . . I feel after all thoseyears as anaffiliate , it makesme moreunderstanding towards the affiliates’ feelings in certain situations and I think I have a more empathy for them than an affiliatemanagerwithoutmy experience would have. 69 G P W A t i m e s . o r g
