NETeller hearing scheduled for Friday
NETeller co-founders Stephen Lawrence and John LeFebvre are scheduled to appear in court on Friday, but that doesn't mean a hearing will take place, said Rebekah Carmichael, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's office. "Essentially it's a calendar place-holder," Carmichael said of Friday's hearing. The U.S. attorney has to indict, not indict or extend the case by that date, Carmichael explained.

Fortune Lounge launches multi-player tournaments
The Fortune Lounge group of online casinos and poker rooms has launched a beta test of live multi-player slots tournaments. Players in these tournaments get to compete with each other in real time and can view their position on live leader boards. For the beta testing phase, these tournaments are offered at Royal Vegas Casino and on the Thunderstruck and Tomb Raider games.

Everest Poker offers weekly $100,000K tournaments
Beginning on March 18th, Everest Poker will hold WEEKLY $100,000 Guaranteed Tournaments! Buy-ins for the tournament are $100+9 and, if you don’t want to pay the full buy-in, satellites have already begun.

BackgammonMasters.com launches poker software
BackgammonMasters.com recently added poker to its Game Lobby, making it the first 3-in-1 gaming software of its kind. Players can now access Backgammon, Perudo and poker all from the same lobby and account.

Ongame Network adds to prize money
After signing several new operators and significantly re-structuring its entire poker tournament offering, the Ongame Network has boosted its poker tournament prize pool guarantees. Throughout March, more than $400,000 in weekly guaranteed prize money will be added to the $1,000,000 total already guaranteed on a weekly basis.

Ayer, Parasol, DeLeon fall from Forbes Billionaire list
Several land-based gambling tycoons rank high on the Forbes billionaire list, but the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act has driven Bodog founder Calvin Ayer and PartyGaming founders Ruth Parasol and Russell DeLeon off the list.

Springfest is in the air
PKR unveiled details last week of its new online poker festival Springfest. The event is expected to draw thousands of competitors from around the world by giving players at all levels the chance to play for big money prize pools plus a shot at a seat in the world's most prestigious poker event – the World Series of Poker.

The 888.com Affiliate Program is inviting their affiliates to get creative for a chance to win up to $1,000. Affiliates who would like to participate in this event promoting 888.com's Crazy BlackJack can use their talents to design a newsletter, email message, dedicated landing page, a viral marketing message, a video to their players, or any other creative idea. Entry deadline for GPWA members is March 21st.

Did You Know?
PokerStars drew 10,508 players for their $1.5 million guaranteed event, creating the largest field for any big-buy-in-tournament -- live or online.
