GPWA-PAW poker challenge
Who has the best poker players, GPWA or PAW? That's what we'll find out April 15 at 8:00 p.m. EST when Absolute Poker hosts the first GPWA vs. PAW Affiliate Poker Tournament. This free tournament will be a great opportunity to network and meet fellow affiliates from PAW. First place gets a seat in an Absolute $150K Sunday Tourney. In order to play, you will need to post your AbsolutePoker player name in the PAW vs. GPWA thread by Thursday, April 12 at 10:00 p.m. EST. "GPWA Approved Portal" seal awarded to 150 sites We've reached the important milestone of 150 approved sites in four short months since the GPWA approved portal seal program was officially launched to establish credibility for deserving websites. To increase awareness of the seal program, we also issued a press release a couple weeks ago featuring all 125 sites that had been awarded a seal at that time. SuperiorShare | SkillGround NETeller cuts off Canadian, Turkish markets NETeller will no longer allow Canadian or Turkish account holders to do business with Internet gambling companies, the e-wallet announced this week. Canadian NETeller customers will be able to make Internet gambling transactions until April 9, although InstaCASH has been suspended. Planet Poker suspends real-money play Planetpoker.com, the Internet's first real-money card room, will suspend their cash game play beginning March 31. The company said it was closing because of payment processing issues related to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, according to press release. Giftcards.com slams door on online gamblers The Virtual Visa Gift Card option at giftcards.com has shut its doors for good to online gamblers. Just a couple of days after it reappeared as a purchasing option, an addition to the giftcards.com FAQ stated that the card could not be used for online gambling. Adventures in depositing American poker players looking to fund their online accounts should look no further than their local Walmart. MoneyGram, a global money transfer service featured at the retail giant Walmart, can be used to fund PokerStars accounts. Orbis releases poker solution Orbis recently released its Texas Hold'em poker solution as part of the OpenBet Rake Games module. The Sky Poker launch includes a web-based portal, as well as a dedicated Sky channel 846. This live channel features televised tournaments combining Internet players with those accessing interactively through their remote control.
