Affiliate program managers recognized This is the second month we are recognizing affiliate program managers that are active in the GPWA forums. Having active affiliate program representatives in our forums sharing ideas, resolving issues, and fostering positive relationships between affiliates and affiliate programs is important to our mutual success. U.S. likely to ignore WTO ruling The World Trade Organization ruled against the United States last week in its gambling trade dispute with Antigua. The decision says allowing Americans to make interstate bets on horse races over the phone or on the Internet with American racebooks while denying foreign racebooks equal access violates free trade agreements. The U.S. has until May 30 to comply, but is widely expected to ignore the ruling. BetonSports.com founder arrested BetonSports.com founder Gary Kaplan was arrested March 28 in the Dominican Republic and later transferred to U.S. authorities. He faces 20 felony charges, including violating the Wire Act, interstate transportation of gambling paraphernalia and tax evasion. Indictments are still out on BetonSports co-owner Norman Steinberg. Former BetonSports director David Carruthers was arrested in July, 2006. Think Bingo launches shuffle game Think Bingo has launched a free picture shuffle game with an Easter theme. The timed game has players reconstruct a picture by sliding tiles. The random picture rotation with musical background includes pictures of male models, cute babies, puppies and more. Cryptologic appoints new CEO CryptoLogic named Javaid Aziz the company's new President and CEO. Aziz has 30 years of international experience in the information technology industry, having previously served as chief executive for IBM U.K. and founder of Aspective. Purple Lounge launches Battle of the Sexes Who's better at poker men or women? The Purple Lounge Battle of the Sexes sets out to answer this question. This four-month tournament series, culminating in the grand final at a secret London location, promises many surprises and maybe a few upsets. Online qualifiers start Tuesday, May 1.
