New feature: Affiliate Manager Language Skills
If you are trying to target a particular geographic market, then nothing beats working with an affiliate manager that speaks the native language of that market. At the GPWA, one of our major goals is to help connect affiliates and affiliate managers. So, we've been putting the necessary information and infrastructure in place to allow us to do this. To date, we've gathered information on about about 100 affiliate program managers, and together, they speak 19 languages. We're pleased to announce that today we are making this information visible on the GPWA Web site. First, the information we provide for each program has been expanded. Second, on the top navigation under Affiliate Programs, in the Program Gaming Sites search, you can now search by affiliate manager language and language proficiency.

A trustworthy firm is selling 11 affiliate accounts. The accounts have been established for over two years and their combined annualized revenues for 2007 are $45,000. If you're interested in finding out more about these accounts, read this thread for more details.

WTO deadline extended
The deadline to negotiate compensation claims over the U.S. decision to remove online gaming from its trade schedule has been extended from Oct. 22 to Dec. 14. Groups that have filed for damages include Antigua and Barbuda, the EU, Japan, India, Canada, Australia, Costa Rica and Macau.

Unibet CEO to be extradited
Unibet CEO Petter Nylander, who was detained by Dutch authorities last week, will be extradited to France to face charges of violating French gambling laws according to published reports.

U.S. tax collectors want a slice of the action
The Internal Revenue Service announced last week that beginning March 4, 2008, it will require casinos and poker tournament sponsors to file paperwork when a player wins more than $5,000.

Bodog offering Spanish-language services
Bodog added a full-service Spanish-speaking customer service call center to serve its growing presence in Latin America, the company said last week. The casino also plans to have a Spanish-language gaming site in the near future.
