U.S. dodges major sanctions in WTO case
Antigua and Barbuda are entitled to collect $21 million annually in sanctions from the United States, the WTO announced Friday in resolving a trade dispute over online gambling. The WTO ruled U.S. laws regarding horse racing were too restrictive and decided Antigua could lift certain copyright and trademark protections on U.S. goods to collect the money.

Analysis: Online gambling only real loser in WTO case
In the end, Antigua's WTO case against the U.S. over online gambling had nothing to do with gambling on the Internet. Instead, it became a proxy war pitting the politics of trade against fair trade. And predictably, politics won while the online gambling industry suffered another setback.

Some sites provide forums where consumers can voice their complaints, and some sites are careful about only listing reputable casinos or providing blacklists of known bad gaming sites. New MessageDo you e-mail webmasters for links?
Kaus writes:
I use the forums, I PM people but I will also use e-mail (to ask for links). Why? Because not everyone makes themselves known in a forum... I have no problem sending them an e-mail and don't regard this as a form of spam. I make sure I like the site, let them know what I like (so they actually see that I did look beyond the email addy) and then I tell them that I have linked to them... I also provide my own information in case they want to link back... Most emails do well, but my question is do you e-mail webmasters you don't know for links?  read more
