GPWA acquires Bodog
We are very pleased and excited to announce that the GPWA has established a controlling interest in Bodog. Planning for the acquisition began some time ago. The first order of business was to raise the necessary capital. This was a group exercise at the management level within the GPWA since we felt it was necessary to raise enough funds to fight off any subsequent takeover attempts.

400 and counting: Approved portal seals prove popular
We've reached another milestone - 400 sites now have the right to display the "GPWA Approved Portal" seal. Congratulations to the 50 newly approved sites (and their associated webmasters). The international adoption of this symbol of credibility and ethical behavior has been truly amazing. Online gaming sites attacked by botnets
Distributed denial of service attacks (DDoS) wreaked havoc at online gaming sites earlier this week. Full Tilt Poker, Titan Poker, Virgin Games and Party Poker were among the sites attacked by a web-based botnet, according to the Shadowserver Foundation.
