Everest names Avalanche finalists
Everest Poker has selected the 10 finalists for its $1,000,000 Avalanche high seas poker tournament. Four Germans, two French, two Dutch, a Spaniard and a Swede will battle it out for a $1,000,000 purse aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruises luxury liner, Navigator of the Seas, from May 29th - June 2nd.

Paddypowerpoker Summer Sizzler underway
The popular online poker room is hosting a series of $777 freerolls until May 25. Tournament capacity has been capped at 500 players per freeroll.

PartyPoker introduces The Bankroll Builder
This new series of freerolls is comprised of exclusive entries into $100 freeroll qualifiers for 60 days after the first real money deposit. The top 50 places are paid out and also receive an entry into the weekly $2,500 freeroll.

BackgammonMasters says no to Linden dollars
BackgammonMasters surveyed 500 non-U.S. players to check the potential demand for the use of Second Life's Linden dollars. According to the poll results, only 20 of the 500 players had ever heard of the currency, and only two showed interest in using it to play on BackgammonMasters.

Spin32Poker launches new tournament formats
Spin32 Entertainment's poker site is offering games with a different twist, including Bounty, Bad Beat, Rabbit Hunt and Shootout tournaments.
