 Join the GPWA at ICE and LAC in LondonLondon in January is the place to be for anyone involved in iGaming. First, the International Casino Expo 2010 (ICE) begins on Tuesday, Jan. 25th at Earls Court. Then the London Affiliate Conference (LAC) kicks off with the iGB Affiliate Awards on Jan. 27. That is followed by the conference from Jan. 28-29 and the traditional final networking event on Jan. 30. The GPWA and the APCW will both be there. Stop by and say hello at stand 6007 at ICE and at stand 71 at LAC. iGB Affiliate Awards finalists announced Earlier this week the iGB Affiliate Award finalists were announced. As you would expect, many folks that are members of the GPWA community are included in the ranks of the finalists, so congratulations to each and every one of you. PPA disappointed with Congress The Poker Players Alliance expressed its disappointment that lawmakers will likely miss an opportunity to license and regulate online poker before the end of the 111th session of Congress. Playtech reaches agreement with Buongiorno Playtech will provide Italian operator Buongiorno with its online casino platform. William Hill, Racing Post team up for iPhone app Racing Post's popular iPhone application now boasts seamless betting directly from William Hill. World Series of Poker room to enter Italy Caesars Interactive Entertainment has announced a long-term agreement with Microgame to utilize the WSOP brand in the Italian poker market. Victor Chandler moves to Entraction Network Victor Chandler Poker has completed a migration to the Entraction Network and will reward players with bonuses and freerolls. Class 1 Casino launches winter skill game Players can try to hit Santa Clause or Rudolph in Class 1 Casino's "Christmas Snowball Fight." EU Casino launches two-week giveaway EU Casino is launching a 50,000 euro giveaway that includes daily races for slots, roulette and blackjack. Over the past few months I have begun to pay a lot more attention to the information provided by Google webmaster tools. Google provides lots of good information and you can find out a lot about how Google views your Web site. There are over 20 reports currently provided. So how often do you look at this information? My hosting is done via GoDaddy, and I've been looking into my (poor) site performance recently... The main culprit here seems to be that my first-byte time is extremely high -- three plus seconds. It varies as high as six seconds from some tests I've done which I know isn't normal. After a few e-mail exchanges with them they insist that everything is running OK... Does anyone here use GoDaddy's hosting? Do you have normal load times?...I've done some research on good, cheap hosting and came across InMotion as being very good - if anyone has experience with them (or other good hosting) I would appreciate if you could share your experiences. read more
