 What icon should be the GPWA favicon? The GPWA has opened up voting for the its new favicon, and we'd like to thank everyone who proposed icons. Details on the vote can be found by following this thread, or by going to the question-of-the-week section at the bottom of the newsletter. Yes, that's right. This announcement is so big, we're running it twice. Upgraded GPWA mobile phone support This past week we upgraded to the newest version of Tapatalk, the mobile phone software used to interact with our forum over the web. Tapatalk supports the iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Nokia platforms. You can still access the GPWA forums using a standard web brower on your mobile phone. But Tapatalk is specifically designed for a phone's smaller screen size.  PokerStars, Wynn Resorts reach partnershipShould legislation regulating online poker be passed, the two companies would seek a gaming license to jointly operate a regulated, U.S. online poker site called PokerStarsWynn.com. 10 observations on Wynn/PokerStars deal When news broke late last week that Wynn Resorts and PokerStars reached a partnership, GPWA Managing Editor Vin Narayanan's response was "hmmmm." Online poker debate heats up Supporters of a bill that would regulate online poker in Nevada claim licensing would have a $1.8 billion economic impact. However, the state's largest casino operators want Nevada to wait for the federal government to act on Internet poker. A twin-sized dose of Perspectives Weekly J. CryptoLogic to run strategic review The software company has asked Deloitte Corporate Finance to assist it with the review of the company. Among the topics being looked at are whether Cryptologic should sell itself or sell part of its business. William Hill wins Betview Award William Hill Online was named the "2011 Online Company of the Year" at the Betview Awards Tuesday night in London. Pinnacle Sports launches affiliate program Pinnacle Sports has launched its new affiliate program on the Income Access platform. Grand Duke Casino to launch on Playtech platform Grand Duke will include more than 150 Playtech casino games that are available in downloadable and Flash formats. Commission approves Caesars, 888 relationship It's the first time the Nevada Gaming Commission has approved a business relationship between a land-based casino and an offshore Internet gaming operator. RGA welcomes Green Paper on Internet gaming The Remote Gambling Association says it will provide comment on the European Commission Green Paper that looks at trade issues surrounding the growth of online gambling. Because we have so many possibilities to consider, the voting will be done a little differently than usual. vBulletin polls simply do not support as many choices as we have to consider.
