  GPWA Times Magazine now available at ICE, LAC and onlineThe 27th issue of the GPWA Times Magazine is now available online. It is currently being was distributed at ICE in London and will be distributed at LAC later this week. In this issue's two-part cover story, Paul Reilly discusses some of the mistakes affiliates have made in the past preparing for the World Cup and Aaron Todd shares his thoughts about what sportsbook affiliates should be doing to ensure that this year's quadrennial event is a success.  A new poll by Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind finds that more New Jersey residents support legalized marijuana than legal online gambling.
    Matt says he launched his first online gambling portal -- bestoffersbingo.co.uk -- because he was from the U.K. and bingo "didn't really feel like gambling." With a number of GPWA staff members at the ICE conference in London, GPWA Executive Director Michael Corfman says there have been numerous logistical challenges with the tube being closed due to a strike. So he was curious what folks like best about their work environment, particularly those that have the most freedom and can work when and where they want. What do you value the most, and why? One of the things I've struggled with the most in my eight years as an affiliate manager is finding an optimum way to keep affiliates up to date. E-mail is obviously the most used and easiest way to keep affiliates informed of the things they need to know (offers, promos, product changes, etc.). However, I appreciate that affiliates get bombarded with e-mails every day. We have a policy of only sending e-mails to all affiliates if we have a major announcement, like a welcome bonus change. Otherwise, we have an opt-in list for affiliates. So, what do you think is the best way for an affiliate manager to keep his affiliates up to date? Are there any programs that successfully use other methods? read more
