Should Google be able to pay to be the default search engine?
The U.S. Department of Justice argues that Google is a monopoly gatekeeper for the internet through deals with hardware manufacturers and telephone company providers to install Google as the default search engine on their services. I have a controversial thesis. There was average traffic on my site in September. It managed to get some FTD. Then came October with as much as 80% more engaged traffic, higher rankings but the FTD score is zero. This is controversial, but it seems to me that when someone searches for information on the second or further down the Google page they are more engaged than someone clicking from the first page. Has anyone had such an experience? read more
